For the second year in a row, there are no changes for 2023 to the MS-1 Report file specification. See below for what this means for you with respect to generating your 2023 MS-1 Report and submitting it to the DRA:

• While there are no changes to the report file specification, there are nonetheless changes to a handful of utility company names. Review the list below to see if this includes a utility in your municipality.
• If your municipality DOES NOT include one of the utilities listed below then… congratulations! You can generate, export, and submit your 2023 MS-1 Report to DRA at any point with the current version of Avitar Assessing — you do not need to update anything.
• If your municipality DOES include one of the utilities listed below then… you will need to contact us for a script prior to being able to finalize your 2023 MS-1 Report. You can go ahead and preview your MS-1 with your existing version of Avitar Assessing but plan to contact us before you actually finalize and export your report to submit to DRA.

If this is your first time working with Avitar Assessing and/or you are not familiar with the process of preparing, finalizing, exporting, and submitting your MS-1 Report, then we recommend that you review our online documentation on the topic.

We will be distributing an Assessing update with several new features that we expect to be able to send out in the next few months. More information on that update will be available once it is ready for distribution, including how to sign up for an online workshop we plan to offer during which we can review the update with all of you.
