We recently discovered that several of our towns had incorrectly changed the Value Calculation Year while updating the current use rates and equalization ratio.
The Value Calculation Year date refers to the year of your last update and should not be updated annually unless you are updating assessments annually. Please check your Value Calculation Year to be sure it is consistent with the date of your last update. If it is not, please change it to reflect the date of your last update and then recalculate the building values. To check the date, go to Utilities | Update Value Parameters | Continue > | System Settings. I have checked our copy of some of your databases and was surprised to find this date had been altered. As this drives your depreciation table it needs to accurately reflect the base year of your last update.
