Scroll Bar Issue

We’ve received several calls from users that are unable to use the scroll bar in certain areas of their Avitar software. If you are experiencing a similar issue, here’s what you need to know:

Issue
When using certain features in your Avitar software that requires a scroll bar (e.g the Assign Credits to Warrant and Totals functions in Avitar Tax Collect), the scroll bar is missing or appears as a white block and is unable to function. This behavior, depending on your individual machine configurations, may or may not be the same on all machines in your office.

This issue is the result of an Update for Microsoft Windows 10 version 1909 (KB5001337) that was released on April 13th. Microsoft has identified the scroll bar issue under the “Known Issues” section of these update descriptions.

Solution
Microsoft has released a subsequent Update for Microsoft Windows 10 version 1909 on May 11th (KB5003169) that resolves the missing scroll bar issue. You can locate the available Windows Update from Microsoft’s Update Catalog here. You may need to contact your network administrator in order to apply Windows Updates.
