We want to pass along some information we learned today from one of our clerks. They were having trouble completing the state portion of a title application after they had originally processed the title application as town-only. So they called the DMV Help Desk for assistance.
What they learned is that, due to a glitch that occurred from Monday’s MAAP outage, you cannot complete just the state portion of a title application that was originally processed as town-only. The Help Desk told the clerk that they hope to have the fix in by this weekend. Until then, if you process a title application as town-only for a customer the customer will need to go to a DMV office to complete the state portion of the transaction. However, if you process both state and town portions of the title application at the same time then you should be okay.
